SK Customs Announces “Alexander the Great,” Introduces Conquerors Series

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – November 15, 2024SK Guns®, the Nation’s only series-driven, limited-edition manufacturer of custom firearms, is proud to announce its new “Alexander the Great” production. Introducing SK’s all-new “Conquerors Series,” this firearm is a limited-edition product of only 200 Colt 1911s in Royal Blue and chambered in .38 Super.

Alexander the Great was a member of an ancient dynasty, born to King Philip II of Macedonia. This royal lineage paved the way for Alexander’s military success. He was tutored at a young age by the legendary erudite Aristotle, who inspired his interests in philosophy, medicine and science.

Shortly after assuming his divine right of kingship, Alexander proceeded to battle. His victories led him to control the League of Corinth, launch the Pan-Hellenic project, take leadership over all Greeks in their conquest of Persia and eventually led to the overthrow of King Darius III of Persia.

“Alexander’s conquest throughout Asia and Egypt established one of Earth’s largest empires and led to over twenty cities named after him or one of his closest followers,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. “Alexander the Great exemplifies the modern image of an ancient conqueror, and we could not think of a better figure in our world’s history to introduce this new series.”

The left side of the slide depicts several scenes, including imagery of battle, Aristotle, Alexander the Great and his followers. The right side of the slide is adorned with Alexander the Great during battle, thrusting his spear in one hand and brandishing his shield in another. The entire pistol is highly polished in Royal blue with 24k gold plating.

The Greek Key borders the sides of the slide, with some of the cities he conquered engraved with subtle shading. The forward top of the slide features Alexander the Great raising his sword in victory, with the rear top of the slide boasting the Vergina Sun Macedonian Star and 16 triangular rays. A floral scroll complements the entire firearm, and the grips have been gold-filled with the theme of the series showcasing a range of historic weaponry.

This firearm can be purchased here. MSRP begins at $2800.

“Santa Muerte” Introduced to SK Customs’ Saints Series

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – November 1, 2024SK Guns®, the Nation’s only series-driven, limited-edition manufacturer of custom firearms, is proud to announce its Saints series now includes the “Santa Muerte.” The release coincides with the “Day of the Dead” celebration in Latin American culture.

SK Guns celebrates the folk saint of Santa Muerte, regarded in Latin American and Mexican Catholicism as a protector of the deceased and the personification of death. Santa Muerte is a limited-edition production run of only 500 Full-Size Government Model Colt 1911 chambered in 38 Super. Each pistol will include a special engraved edition number.

Santa Muerte has surged in popularity and taken on an increasingly prominent role in the Day of the Dead festivities, which are held on the first and second days of November. Associated with healing, protection and financial well-being, Santa Muerte has reportedly performed miracles for those in need. She also assures a path to the afterlife, reaping the souls of the deceased.

Santa Muerte is trusted to watch over the bones of the dead and preside over the ancient festivals of the dead. These festivals evolved from Aztec traditions into the modern Day of the Dead after the synthesis with Spanish traditions, as she now presides over the contemporary festival as well. She is known as the “Lady of the Dead,” due to the belief that she was born, and then sacrificed, as an infant.

"Santa Muerte is a significant addition to our Saints by the Roots series," said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. "We are proud to honor the rich cultural heritage and traditions associated with the Day of the Dead by introducing this iconic figure to our custom firearms collection."

The slide features toned illustrations of roses that believers of Santa Muerte hold particularly sacred. Roses are holy to them because they are associated with the Lady of Guadalupe and because, although beautiful and feminine, they have sharp thorns and will draw blood.

Other objects associated with Santa Muerte include scales, an hourglass, an owl and an oil lamp. The scales allude to equity, justice and impartiality, as well as divine will. This symbolic, limited-edition Colt is made complete with Blood Grips made from Kirinte® with the iconic Rampant Colt.

The new firearm can be purchased here. MSRP begins at $2750.

SK Customs Announces “Guerrero,” the Fourth Edition of the Mexican War of Independence Series

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – September 13, 2024 SK Guns®, the Nation’s only series-driven, limited edition manufacturer of custom firearms, is proud to announce the launch of the fourth installation of the Mexican War of Independence series, “Guerrero.” This edition celebrates Vincente Guerrero, the second President of the Mexican Republic.

Guerrero joined the fighting forces of Morelos to battle against Spain early in the war for independence. During his presidency, Guerrero famously abolished slavery in Mexico. The son of a Spanish loyalist, Guerrero was asked for his sword to be presented to the viceroy of New Spain as a sign of goodwill. In response, Guerrero refused saying “LA PATRIA ES PRIMERO” (translated, The Homeland Comes First). This phrase is still referred to today as the motto of the Mexican State of Guerrero and is written in gold letters at the National Palace.

“We are excited to honor an instrumental figure in Mexico’s war for independence. Guerrero was at the center of iconic moments in Mexican history, such as the Abrazo de Acatempan, and this allowed us to create a truly striking and unique firearm,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns.

The left side of the firearm depicts details of Guerrero’s connection with the indigenous Aztecs, including a Jaguar fighter reflected in his Coat of Arms and within the borders of the motto La Patria Es Primero. Additional shading of the Aztecs flows on the frame and slide flats.

The right side of the firearm is adorned by the words “Religion, Independence, Union”, which surrounds a depiction of the shield embroidered with the royal crown following a victorious war for independence. This depiction is followed by the Abrazo de Acatempan with Guerrero and Iturbide, while the frame flat continues the indigenous connection with Guerrero and the Aztec Jaguar glyph. The top of the slide features a portrait of Presidente Guerrero and the Mexican eagle and snake relevant to its era.

To finish off this custom gun, the frame, slide, barrel and hardware are all highly polished and feature .999 silver plating in select areas. This historical masterpiece is made complete with Kirnite® grips presenting the silver emblem of the iconic Rampant Colt.

Guerrero is a limited-edition production run of only 200 Full-Size Government Model Colt 1911 chambered in 38 Super. Each pistol will include a special engraved edition number.

The new firearm can be purchased here. MSRP begins at $3,000.00 and is now shipping.
