SK Guns Introduces New “Sidekick” in Partnership with Phoenix Trinity Manufacturing

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – January 10, 2025 – SK Guns®, the Nation’s only series-driven, limited-edition manufacturer of custom firearms, is proud to announce an exclusive collaboration with Phoenix Trinity Manufacturing. The two companies have partnered to create the Sidekick, a double-stack, commander-sized 2011 pistol designed for concealed carry. 

“SK and Phoenix have partnered to push the boundaries of firearm design by offering a high-quality, innovative option for everyday carry,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. “The Sidekick is poised to make waves in the personal protection market, combining style, functionality and reliability in one versatile carry option.”

The Sidekick features a 4.25-inch barrel featuring Phoenix Trinity’s most popular full-size Pro Evo Grip. This new concealed carry option is offered in two limited runs. The first is a run of 10 color case anodized, and the second is a run of 20 black anodized with blue physical vapor deposition (PVD) accents. Both runs will feature a black, diamond-like carbon (DLC) slide and frame finish for extra durability.

An internal V-Port compensated pistol, the Sidekick guarantees reduced recoil and muzzle rise with faster second target acquisition. With a front sight made of green tritium and LimuGreen outlining the front ring, this collaboration allows shooters to get and stay on target with ease.

Each pistol is designed and machined with “function first” in mind. An aggressive forward slide serration mimics a grande pattern with three horizontal cuts, complemented by forward tri-top vertical serrations going up and over the slide. This design is duplicated on the rear side panels. A unique trigger shoe mirroring the same horizontal cut accents meets an aggressive checkered trigger pad for a smooth pull. The mainspring housing grip safety comes pined for those that demand reliability without compromise.

SK Customs and Springfield Armory Release “Andrea del Sarto,” the Final Installment of the Early Italian Renaissance Series

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – December 20, 2024 – SK Guns®, the Nation’s only series-driven, limited-edition manufacturer of custom firearms, is proud to announce the fourth and final installment of the Early Italian Renaissance series. SK Customs partnered with Springfield Armory on these engraver model 1911s as a tribute to Andrea del Sarto in a limited run of only 250 units. 

“This firearm is the perfect end to our Early Italian Renaissance Series,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. “Andrea del Sarto was one of the most prolific artists of his time. His works were so immaculate that he became known as ‘the faultless painter.’ We hope this firearm is able to capture the same detail and beauty that defined his works.” 

The Early Italian Renaissance Series symbolizes the turn of the 15th century marking a cultural rebirth, focusing on classical knowledge, art and humanism that sparked the innovations in painting, sculpture and architecture. This firearm features engravings of del Sarto’s most famous paintings: “Battesimo Della Gente,” “Triumph of Ceaser” and “The Disputation on the Trinity.”  

SK Customs uses proprietary color conversion to create a Monticello peach color, which is 

highly reflective and permanent. The firearm wears genuine imported Italian Olivewood grip 

panels engraved with Italy’s Fleur De Lis, which are hand-painted to match the Monticello peach accents on the slide. 

SK Customs completes this work of art with a semi-polished finish on the frame and slide flats, a highly polished barrel and selective 24k gold plating to the art and select parts.

Enthusiasts can also purchase the entire collection with matching serial numbers, an installment dubbed the “Gold Series.” This series includes an optional display case and matching 24k gold etched blades numbered to match the set.
