ZEISS Displays Emphasis and Heavy Focus on the Birding Community
White Plains, NY – February 6, 2020
ZEISS has announced a partnership with the Teatown Hudson River EagleFest as an event sponsor for 2020. The event is set to take place February 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. The event celebrates the return of the bald eagle to the Hudson Valley after being on the brink of extinction.
The Hudson River EagleFest draws in many members of the birding community to view bald eagles as they descend upon the Hudson River as part of their winter migration. Representatives from the ZEISS team will be on location providing educational sessions, free products, taking pictures, and giving attendees the opportunity to look at the eagles through ZEISS Harpia spotting scopes. ZEISS Nature and Observation Manager, Richard Moncrief, will be providing two informational sessions at the Eaglet Stage—Birding 101 and Easy Digiscoping.
The event is set to feature a packed schedule of both education and fun for all ages in addition to offering great viewpoints of the eagle migration. Attendees will have the opportunity to join in on learning sessions, hands-on art activities, access to many great exhibitors as well as bird walks throughout the day.
“ZEISS is thrilled to be a part of this event and show support for the birding community,” said Bill Graham, Manager – Consumer Service for Carl ZEISS SBE, LLC. “This event celebrates the return of a healthy population of bald eagles in this area and the hard work that took place in order to make that happen. ZEISS offers so many powerful tools to the birding community and we could not be more excited to be a part of events like this as well as getting to know all of the people that are involved.”
